Every order is crafted with precision—from carefully selected lumber to a finished product built to perform. Our experienced team ensures each piece meets your exact specifications before it leaves our mill.

01 Pattern Milling: The moulder is set to the approved profile and net dimensions. Species, grade, surface, and length tally are confirmed before the run.
02 Stage Lumber
03 Profile and Surface Work: Available surfaces very by species and program. Specify 24-grit sanded, 120-grit sanded, wirebrush, resawn, or circle-sawn on the order.
04 Grade and Tally: Units are built to the ordered species, grade, surface, profile, and length tally.
05 Band and Stage: Full units and mill tallies are banded and staged for shipment.
Create the perfect order for your project. Unit quantities can be built using specified lengths in full-unit quantities or a mill tally.
01 Specified Length: Buy the approved length in full-unit quantities. Current pieces, board footage and unit weight are supplied from the verified item record.
02 Mill Tally: Full units of each length are combined into the approved tally. Do not treat a single length as a mixed tally.
03 Special Order: Other WWPA or NLGA profiles can be reviewed. The mill confirms the drawing, net dimensions, species, surface, minimum run and timing before production.

At Western Timber, sustainability isn’t a checkbox—it’s a responsibility we carry through every part of our operation. For every tree we harvest, we plant three, helping ensure the long-term health of our forests, our communities, and our industry.
All of our forestland is third-party certified under the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI®), a program that sets rigorous standards for responsible forest management. This certification reflects our commitment to balancing environmental stewardship with strong, sustainable business practices—protecting resources today while preserving them for future generations.

We also believe in making the most of every resource. Our wood shavings—made from species like Ponderosa Pine, Douglas Fir, Western Larch, and Inland Red Cedar—are repurposed for use in OSB and wood pellet manufacturing, as well as livestock bedding. By minimizing waste and maximizing utility, we extend the life and value of every tree we process.

Everything we do is guided by a simple principle: operate in a way that supports our people, our neighbors, our customers, and the environment—today and for years to come.
